Martha Scanlan and Jon Neufeld’s collective accolades are impressive, from sharing the stage and having collaborations with Levon Helm, Emmylou Harris and R.E.M.’s Peter Buck, to festival performances including Merlefest and Bonnaroo. 

Their special alchemy has earned the duo a cult following worldwide and their music can be characterised by its Americana, folk, and old-time roots sound. Their fourth album, Save it for Later, ranked among 2024’s Best-Of by No Depression Magazine. 

Independently, Martha’s songs appear in books by celebrated authors including Joyce Carol Oates, and have been covered by Sarah Jarosz, Solas, and others. Most recently, Martha also garnered a rush of new fans when Robert Plant recorded her song Higher Rock for his 2025 album, Saving Grace (#4 UK Albums Chart, #1 UK Americana Chart).
