Welcome

The Anvil Trust manages three of Hampshire's finest arts and entertainment venues, and is renowned for its wide-ranging programme.

The autumn season starts with a real winner - the first performances of Varjak Paw. Based on the award-winning children's books, this brilliant musical tale about a cat growing up in the big city is a treat for all. The Haymarket goes Georgian as we rediscover the lost delights of Jane Austen-era comedy, and then moves to a controversial study of relationships in The Blue Room.

Meanwhile, at the The Anvil, there's jazz from Guy Barker, first time visits from Al Martino, Billy Ocean and Boy George, the last concert appearance in the UK of the great pianist Alfred Brendel, comedy from Russell Howard, Frankie Boyle and Dylan Moran, and an extraordinary concert from The Bays and The Heritage Orchestra which is guaranteed to be like nothing you have ever experienced before.

The Forge programme continues its eclectic mix of music from rising and established stars, from The Groanbox Boys and Little Toby Walker to Modeste Hugues and Arun Ghosh.

At Christmas, The Anvil hosts Aladdin, starring Pui Fan Lee from CBeebies and Ray Meagher from Home and Away; while The Haymarket has a production of A Christmas Carol, perhaps the most popular Christmas tale of all. You don't have to choose - see them both!
