Anvil Arts is the largest performing arts organisation in Hampshire, and runs The Anvil, The Haymarket and The Forge in Basingstoke.

At The Anvil, Hollywood legend Debbie Reynolds looks back on her amazing life, opera star Lesley Garrett returns, the bad boy of ballroom Brendan Cole brings his own show, and there’s more great music from The Lightning Seeds, Eric Bibb, Imelda May, Christy Moore and Suzanne Vega. For families, Singa-longa-High School Musical 3 and CBeebies’ Chris and Pui for younger children. Don't miss the return of the amazing Kodo drummers, the majestic Abdullah Ibrahim with his band Ekaya, and the extraordinary Jerry Dammers Spatial AKA Orchestra.

The Haymarket programme continues with Alan Ayckbourn's Absent Friends before the chilling Dickens story The Black Veil. Our Easter treat for all the family is a new production of Alice in Wonderland, followed by an amazing re-creation of Eric Morecambe. The comedies Mum’s the Word and Wife Begins at Forty will put a smile on your face, while the ‘jukebox musical’ Up on the Roof will have you dancing in the aisles. Enjoy wide-ranging one-night performances from Jaleo Flamenco, Brian Rix and others, and support the young local performers from Stax in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

The Forge programme brings more great emerging artists to Basingstoke, including award winners Emily Smith and Amy Wadge, the unique Belshazzar’s Feast and delightful Carrivick Sisters, and comedy from Pappy’s and Idiots of Ants.

And don’t miss Roundabout Basingstoke, a promenade performance packed with local talent.
