Groups

Frequently asked questions

How many people constitute a group booking?

The minimum number for a group booking is 10.

Is there a general group discount that applies to all performances?

No. Group discounts vary depending on the performance. They are available where stated and there may not be a group discount available at some shows.

How can I make a group booking?

Groups of 9 or fewer can book online. For more than 10, please call 01256 366935 or email group.booking@anvilarts.org.uk.

Can I make a reservation and how long can you hold tickets for me?

Group booking reservations can be made at any time, and will be held until one month before the performance date, or until the performance sells out, whichever is sooner. If the booking is made within a month of the performance date then special terms may be applied.

Can I adjust the number of tickets on my reservation?

Yes, you can adjust the number of tickets until the payment date (subject to availability). If any changes cause the total number to fall below the qualifying size for a group booking, the full price will apply.

If one of the members in my group has certain access needs or is a wheelchair user, do I have to let you know?

Please help us to give you a better service by letting us know at the time of booking if any of your group has specific access needs, or requires a wheelchair position. We have a limited number of wheelchair positions available for which you need to have specific tickets. In order to book these seats please join our Access List. Visit anvilarts.org.uk/access for more information.

Payment

Do I need to pay a deposit when I make a reservation?

No, there is no deposit required at the time of booking.

When must I pay for the tickets?

Full payment is due by the date agreed at the time of booking (which will be no later than one month before the performance date). If the performance sells out before this date, we will contact you to confirm your requirements with payment. If the booking is made within a month of the performance date then special terms may be applied.

How can I pay for the tickets?

In addition to paying cash or by card, we welcome payment by company/group cheque or BACS. We do not accept personal or post-dated cheques or payment after the performance and request that cheque payments are made with a single cheque.

I would like to hire one of the venues/rooms at Anvil Arts. Do I still contact the Group line?

No, please visit anvilarts.org.uk/hire-us for more information.

Tickets

Do I have to collect the individual tickets from the box office?

We will issue a group booking voucher to help seat you quickly and efficiently on the day. If however you would prefer individual tickets, we recommend that you keep a written record of which tickets you allocate to each member of your group.

After I’ve made the payment for the group booking, can I still get an extra ticket at the group rate?

No, once payment is made, any further tickets will be treated as a separate transaction and are not eligible for the group discount.

What if one of the group members has lost their ticket?

Lost tickets can be reprinted at a cost of 50p per ticket. We recommend that you keep a written record of which tickets you allocate to each member of your group. This way it will be easier to track which ticket needs to be reissued.

We have several flexible spaces available for hire for performances, rehearsals, recordings and more
