Bars at The Anvil and The Haymarket serve a wide selection of beer, wine, and spirits including locally sourced gin, soft drinks and hot beverages.
At both venues the bars are located in the stalls and circle foyers, opening one hour before the performance.
Interval drinks can be pre-ordered at the bar for most performances. They may be taken into the auditorium in our reusable or compostable plastic glasses.
By sourcing local produce, not only are we supporting the local economy, businesses and people, but we are also reducing our food miles and carbon footprint.
Local drink suppliers on offer here include Twisted Nose and Winchester Dry Gins from the Winchester Distillery, Bombay Sapphire (Whitchurch), Hambledon Sparkling Wine, Moonroast Coffee (Alresford) and Gorilla Spirits (Upton Grey) where £1 from each bottle sold goes towards supporting the conservation of The Gorilla Organisation. For snacks we have eight delicious varieties of New Forest Ice Cream and Surrey's award-winning Brown Bag Crisps.
We no longer stock plastic water bottles. As of September 2019, still and sparkling water will instead be sold in reseable cans from CanO Water, a recyclable alternative. At our bars we have also eliminated plastic consumables, moving to vegware cups and compostable or washable polycarbonate glasses.
Snack bags will be available to purchase at select performances. Get a Fruit Shoot, a BEAR fruit Yoyo, a pack of crayons and an activity sheet for just £2.60, or substitute the Yoyo for a bag of Kid’s Propercorn for an extra 20p.

Warm up this winter with one of our festive drinks; full of fruit, spice and all things nice, try our Mulled Wine (from £4), a Winter Wassail Apple Gin served with an edible apple straw (£6), or Spiced Orange Rum with an edible cinammon straw (£6.85).
