Last week, we had a delightful afternoon at Basingfield Court Residential Care Home in Old Basing where residents enjoyed an afternoon full of songs, poetry, and dance as the finale of our Finding The Words project as part of our ongoing Community Engagement work.
Professional musicians and artists led sessions over eighteen weeks culminating in this wonderful event.
The particpiants wrote poems based on memories of themes such as travel and food which musician Olly Lewis used to compose two songs, and Maria Evans led sessions of movement and dance with the aid of colourful props such as scarves and ropes.
