Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horrors
Rock & Pop with live music by Chris Green Fri 30 Oct 2026, 7:30pm The ForgeNosferatu (1922) is arguably the film that gave birth to the horror genre, the first cinematic interpretation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Its combination of expressionistic acting and unforgettable images renders it just as powerful and unsettling today as when it first thrilled cinema goers 100 years ago.
Chris Green’s new score, commissioned by English Heritage, is a haunting blend of electronic and acoustic instruments performed live by the composer alongside a screening of the movie, making for a genuinely remarkable experience.
Chris is a regular musician at Shakespeare’s Globe and was also one of the musicians on BBC’s Poldark, appearing in series 1 and 2. He also writes and composes, having adapted The Wind in the Willows in 2017, as well as A Christmas Carol: In Concert in 2018.
