The Fureys have been impressing audiences across the globe for an impressive 43 years, born from the great folk revival.
Notable stars of Irish music and song, The Fureys are renowned for their hit songs I Will Love You, When You Were Sweet 16, The Green Fields of France, The Old Man, and many more.
The oldest of the brothers, Eddie Furey, left home in 1966 and travelled to Scotland where he shared accommodation with then unknown folk singers Billy Connolly, Gerry Rafferty and Alex Campbell, where his career in music began. Only a few years later, with his brother Finbar, the brothers were special guests for the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem throughout the USA and Canada. Not long after, Eddie moved to mainland Europe, mingling with the likes of The Eurythmics and many more top performers of the era.
Now, The Fureys make their return to Basingstoke with a night of their best hits. You won't want to miss it!
