Join the Philharmonia Orchestra Brass Ensemble for a feast of seasonal music.
There’s something irresistibly Christmassy about the sound of brass instruments, their warm tones blending together like a choir of carol singers. The Philharmonia brass section has long been celebrated for its style and finesse, and for the tautness of its ensemble.
This programme brings together music sacred and secular, old and new. From serene Advent pieces to the merriest melodies of the season, this is a Christmas concert that has something for everyone.
Come along before the concert at 7pm as some of Hampshire’s brilliant young musicians for a performance of Christmas music at The Haymarket, Basingstoke. An ensemble of brass musicians from Hampshire Music Service bring the term to a close with a selection of suitably seasonal repertoire, ahead of the Philharmonia Orchestra’s Brass at Christmas concert at 7.30pm – a real festive feast.
The Philharmonia Orchestra is Anvil Arts' Orchestra in Partnership.
