How to Book

Your tickets

  • Ticket prices include a booking fee
  • Only one discount can apply to any one ticket
  • Anvil Arts reserves the right to introduce discounts and special offers at any time, and these cannot be applied to tickets already purchased
  • Tickets are for personal use only and must not be resold for commercial gain. Tickets resold at a higher price than face value become void and the holder will be refused entry. Customer accounts may also be suspended
  • Lost or forgotten reserved seated tickets can be reprinted at a cost of 50p per ticket with proof of ID (general admission or standing tickets cannot be reprinted)
  • We operate a re-sale facility on sold out performances at a cost of £1.50 per ticket. The cost of the booking fee will also be removed from the re-sale. The value of the re-sale will be credited to your Anvil Arts account for future bookings within the following 24 months
  • A family ticket is for 2 adults and 2 children, or 1 adult and 3 children, booking together. Extra adult or child tickets may be booked at the same time

Refunds and Exchanges

  • No refunds can be given
  • We offer ticket cancellation protection through Ticketplan at an additional cost per ticket.
  • If a performance is cancelled you may be offered a rescheduled date where possible, or a refund of the face value of the ticket only. These refunds should be claimed within two weeks of the date of the performance
  • Printed tickets can be exchanged within the run of the same event at a cost of 50p per ticket

Anvil Arts Gift Vouchers

  • Gift vouchers are valid for 24 months from the date of issue
  • They can only be used to purchase tickets from the box office
  • Gift vouchers bought with a credit card must be sent to the cardholder's registered address
  • No refunds can be given
  • The standard booking fee will be charged on tickets purchased with gift vouchers
  • We do not accept Theatre Tokens

Admission

  • The management reserves the right to refuse admission, and to request any ticket holder to leave our buildings at any time at its discretion
  • In line with the artists wishes, we will make every effort to admit latecomers at a suitable break in the performance, but we cannot always guarantee entry
  • By order of the licensing authority, under no circumstances shall persons be permitted to sit in any gangway which intersects the seating
  • It is the nature of live performance that start and running times may vary, and artists, programmes, and other details may be subject to last minute changes

Children and Young People

  • Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder; Anvil Arts cannot be held responsible for children unaccompanied by an adult
  • Children aged up to 18 months may sit on an adult ticket holder's lap with an infant in arms ticket (available at selected performances only)

Safety and Enjoyment

  • Please ensure you always have your ticket or e-ticket with you as they are checked when entering the foyers and auditorium
  • We may on occasion conduct bag and security searches. No alcohol may be brought into the buildings.
  • Large bags will not be permitted into the auditorium
  • We reserve the right to refuse admission or eject audience members from our venues and events at our discretion, including behaviour affecting other people’s enjoyment of the performance
  • Please switch your phone off or to silent during a performance or event
  • We do not permit the unauthorised use of cameras and recording equipment within the auditorium or foyers
  • The Anvil and The Haymarket are non-smoking venues, this includes e-cigarettes and vapes.

The performance

  • Photography or recording of any kind is not allowed
  • Please switch off mobile phones, muffle coughs, and refrain from unwrapping sweets during the performance to ensure that it is enjoyed by all
  • Please be aware that other people may stand up during the performance or dance in front of you
  • If you experience problems during a performance please contact a steward so that we can do our best to resolve the issue at the time

General

  • Artists, programme and performance details are correct at the time of sale or print publication, but changes may be unavoidable due to the nature of live performance
  • Anvil Arts or its agents may carry out film or sound recording in or around our venues. By purchasing tickets you consent to you and your party being included in any recording, and to its exploitation, without payment
  • Any complaints should be addressed in writing to the Chief Executive

Ticket sales for external events

  • Anvil Arts occasionally acts as a box office for external events. These events are not promoted by Anvil Arts and we take no responsibility for any aspect of their programme or operation. Any queries should be directed to the promoter concerned
