Mark Rhodes is best known as one half of the hugely popular TV presenting duo Sam & Mark. The pair have come a long way since Pop Idol in 2003, coming second and third respectively. It was whilst filming backstage VT’s that their friendship began and the dynamic between Sam & Mark was noticed.
Best-known for presenting Sam & Mark’s Big Friday Wind Up (CBBC) for which they received two Children’s BAFTA’s for Best Presenters and Best Entertainment Format, the show has run for an impressive eight series. The duo are also set to present the hugely anticipated return of entertainment show Crackerjack, with recording taking place later this year. Firm family favourites with a wealth of credits, the duo have also hosted hugely popular shows including Level Up, TMi, Copycats, Junior Bake Off and Match of the Day: Can You Kick It.
Alongside their TV success, Sam and Mark are also accomplished and well-loved authors, having published their first children’s book The Adventures of Long Arm, followed by the release of their second book The Adventure of Long Arm vs The Evil Supply Teacher. 2017 saw the release of their first picture book The Stink Before Christmas.
With hundreds of hours of live TV under their belts, it comes as no surprise that they have also written a family stage show which they have performed at festivals all over the UK, as well as delighting audiences at Park Resorts and Butlins. This year will also see the duo taking their own live theatre show out on the road and several appearances at large family festivals throughout the Summer. Confident in the live sphere, Mark is also a seasoned and popular panto performer, having played the lead in several national productions to rave reviews.
When not busy filming or on dad duties, Mark works closely with several brands and charities and is a patron of Whizz-Kidz and Kicks Count.
