Debbie’s career has spanned the widest range of show business genres, incorporating classical ballet, dance, cabaret, theatre, and television.
After finishing her training at the Royal Ballet School, Debbie joined the Iranian National Ballet until political reasons forced her to return to the UK. She then went into the more commercial side of dance and performed with The Second Generation appearing with many known artists including ABBA and Chris de Burgh.
Passing one audition changed her life. The Delfont Organisation placed her as a dancer in The Paul Daniels Summer Show in Great Yarmouth.
She went on to appear in the longest-running TV magic show in the world, The Paul Daniels Magic Show for the BBC. Achieving in excess of 12 million viewers per week and winning the coveted Golden Rose of Montreaux TV Award.
They toured in the UK, along with seasons in London's West End at The Savoy and The Prince of Wales Theatres.
In after-dinner cabarets, they performed for both our British Royal family and other Royals globally and for many major companies worldwide.
In the early 2000s Debbie started Ballet Imaginaire, a touring ballet company, recreating some traditional ballets and two original ones, The Artist’s Dream and Phantom of the Ballet.
Debbie became the longest-running Sunday show presenter for BBC Radio Berkshire, where she hosted a morning show for twelve years.
Following Paul's sad death in 2016, Debbie has continued with a solo career, with many personal and television appearances.
In 2017 Debbie had enormous success in the very popular BBC1 TV show Strictly Come Dancing, hitting headlines every week with her performances. She became the earliest in the shows history to reach a top 40 score with her tango and was the oldest celebrity contestant to make the final. After completing the show, she went on to perform in the Strictly arena tour and later win Best Performance in The National Reality TV Awards for best performance with her dance partner Giovanni Pernice.
Following her Strictly Come Dancing success, Debbie has made many TV appearances, including two TV specials.
Celebrities Go Barging, a very popular four-part series, where actor Nigel Havers and Debbie took a canal boat in convoy with Simon Callow and Lorraine Chase along two famous canals. The other being The Pilgrimage on BBC2, where seven celebrities walked the famous Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage across the Pyrenees and Northern Spain.
This year Debbie made her first acting debut in The House on Cold Hill, a Peter James thriller, where she played the role of Annie, a wacky Psychic.
Debbie is very excited to be appearing in Cinderella at The Anvil this Christmas. Paul and Debbie loved performing their magic shows there.
