In line with the latest government guidance, we have put numerous measures in place across our venues to ensure that we remain Covid-19 secure. Please take the time to understand these measures before attending our venues to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our staff, artists and audiences. We all need to work together to help keep one another safe.

Trained Covid Compliance Officers will be present for all performances and can be identified by coloured armbands. Please take note of any information provided in addition to any instruction given by staff.

If you feel unwell, have a high temperature, are displaying any Covid-19 symptoms , tested positive for Covid-19, or have been notified to isolate by NHS Test and Trace, please stay at home and do not attend our venues.

If you feel unwell prior to attending a performance for which you have tickets, please do not attend and e-mail our box office who will be happy to credit the value of your tickets to your account so that you can use it on future ticket purchases.

To reduce contact with our staff, tickets must be booked in advance. You will then be issued with an e-ticket which you can print at home or show on your phone. It is important that you keep your Anvil Arts account details up to date in case we need to contact you.

We are requesting contactless payment (not cash).

Opening hours:

  • Mon – Fri, 10am – 2pm
  • Performance nights and weekends – open one hour before the performance


Please ensure all your party is present before making your way to the venue entrance.

Our venues open one hour before the performance start time; please arrive in plenty of time and be prepared to queue observing social distancing.

We strongly encourage all audience members to check in using the NHS QR code or provide contact details using the Track and Trace form to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

You will then be asked to present your e-ticket either printed at home or shown on your mobile device for scanning by our Front of House team.

You will be directed to your seat location in the auditorium.

At the end of the performance please ensure that you dispose of your rubbish and take all of your belongings home with you.

You may be directed to an alternative exit to help social distancing.


FACE COVERINGS (unless exempt)

To help us to keep each other safe we are continuing to ask our audiences to wear a face covering at all times unless eating or drinking.
Our staff will continue to wear face coverings.


We have an enhanced cleaning regime within our venues to ensure all touch point areas are regularly sanitised. This includes door handles and handrails.

Items such as booster seats and hearing enhancement headsets are also sanitised and available for use.

Our venues including auditoria seating undergo regular antiviral fogging.


Our auditoria have ventilation designed to draw in fresh air from outside, and extract accumulated expelled air from inside. Filters are changed as part of regular routine maintenance. Ventilation will run to circulate fresh air two hours before a performance, during and afterwards.

You may want to bring an extra layer in case you feel cold.

Windows to the foyer areas will also be opened to ensure fresh air circulation.


We have hand sanitiser stations positioned at the entrances to all our venues and auditoria. Please use hand sanitiser on entry.


To help protect other audience members and our staff, please continue to maintain a safe social distance when queuing and moving around our venues. Please keep to the left and limit your movement around the venue.

As venues are now permitted to open at full capacity, you may have to pass others or sit next to someone else. To mitigate risk we are asking all audience members, unless exempt or under 11, to wear a face covering (except when eating or drinking).



Get ready to beat the queues with our new hassle-free click & collect service. Pre-order your drinks and simply pick them up from your designated collection point. Orders for collection before the performance should be placed in advance of your arrival. Collected drinks can be taken back to your seat to enjoy. We look forward to welcoming you.

Please maintain social distancing and use lifts with persons from your household or support bubble. Hand sanitiser has been placed outside all lift entrances.
