250 years on from his death, Handel remains one of the most popular of all composers. In this concert the Orchestra of the Age of the Enlightenment celebrates him with its customary vitality and energy.
The programme contains two concerti grossi from Op. 6 - widely considered to be his orchestral masterpieces, muscular and vibrant music which still sounds fresh. Soprano Elin Manahan Thomas, whose debut CD was recently released to critical acclaim, completes the programme singing arias from Rinaldo.
