Ten different couples, ten encounters, ten relationships. Relationships based on greed, on sex, habit, curiosity, egotism, double standards, love. The Blue Room, David Hare’s rethinking of the classic La Ronde, works its way through a daisy chain of varied characters, as they meet and then part in a never-ending cycle. Thought-provoking, funny, bitter and tender, it asks the question: is it ever possible to know someone else, no matter how intimate you are?
While the government and the Arts Council decide how the recently announced free theatre tickets for young people scheme will work, Anvil Arts is going ahead and offering free tickets to everyone aged between 16 and 25 years for this production of The Blue Room.
The play in which Nicole Kidman was called ‘pure theatrical Viagra’, this short, intense, sexy and cinematic production is perfect for 16 – 25 year olds. Christine Bradwell, Chief Executive of Anvil Arts, said: “ It is one of the central parts of our strategy for The Haymarket to get young people using it regularly. Being able to offer free tickets in this way means that every young person can see what the new Haymarket is all about, and is one of the reasons why we chose The Blue Room for our in-house production."
Please note this offer is subject to availability and does not apply to tickets already purchased.
