With wonderful songs, from the uplifting Seventy Six Trombones to the romantic Till There Was You and the wistful Goodnight My Someone, The Music Man has been described as one of the most heart-warming Broadway musicals ever written, capturing all the innocent charm of a bygone America.

The date - 4th July 1912. The place - River City, Iowa. Fast-talking salesman “Professor” Harold Hill hoodwinks parents into believing he can teach their errant children how to play instruments in a marching band – but intends to take their money and run. But when he falls in love with local librarian Marion Paroo, Harold’s scheme unravels and he must face the consequences of his fraud…

After their successful production of Crazy for You, BATS’ 50th anniversary year continues with Meredith Willson’s classic musical, which is also celebrating its 50th birthday.
