Wirework Jewellery Workshop

The Linden Room

  • Tickets: £45; Materials £10 - £15 to be paid on the day directly, depending on how many pieces of jewellery is made

Forget scratchy and misshapen jewellery! In these relaxed, friendly workshops, you will make comfortable and stylish jewellery.

You will be taught about the properties of wire, and be shown how to apply traditional and contemporary techniques to shape wire by hand forging, as well as with tools. The workshop will cover techniques such as simple loops, clover leafs and coils, and you will also be taught how to professionally finish your piece.

Using silver plated wire, you will combine crystals and glass beads to create a range of original rings, earrings, bracelets, pendants and necklaces, making a piece of jewellery for everyday wear, or for a special occasion.

You will leave with all the necessary skills to enable you to continue designing and making a wide range of jewellery at home.

These workshops are suitable for the complete beginner and adaptations can be made to challenge the more experienced jewellery maker. This programme is constantly refreshed to reflect current trends.
