Kala the Arts – a professional South Asian dance company based in Basingstoke – presents a double bill, featuring performer/choreographer Sushmita Pati along with dancers from the company Srinwanti Chakrabarti, Rachel Perrett and other international dancers.

Romance with Mudras, commissioned by Anvil Arts, is an innovative work with stunning combinations of sophisticated and stylised hand gestures interlaced with dynamic movements of Odissi, creating narratives from poetry and literature.

Meghdoot explores the intensity of human emotions through Kalaripayittu – a martial art form from Kerala – creating a piece of dance theatre.
