The hilarious stage version of the much-loved TV sitcom.
with Barry Howard and Nikki Kelly (from the original series)
Peter Amory (Chris Tate in Emmerdale)
Abigail Finley (from BBC's How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?)
and Damian Williams
Hi-de-Hi! is one of the best remembered TV sitcoms which starred a whole host of much-loved characters during its nine series on the BBC in the 1980s. The stage version has not been seen since it was last in the West End in 1984. Set in the fictional seaside town of Crimpton-on-Sea, Essex, in a 50’s holiday-camp called ‘Maplins’, the BAFTA award-winning show is part carry-on-style farce, part comedy and part nostalgic romp.
"heartily done, not just a pallid version of the original…" The Times
"a sense of relentless fun projects itself from stage to audience throughout" whatsonstage.com
"extremely funny… performed with such brilliant enthusiasm" Hertfordshire Life Magazine
This brand new tour will star original TV cast members, Barry Howard & Nikki Kelly as the professional ballroom dancing couple, Barry & Yvonne Stuart-Hargreaves; Peter Amory - best-known for playing the infamously unscrupulous Chris Tate in ITV’s Emmerdale - in the role of Jeffrey Fairbrother; Sky 1’s Are You Smarter Than Your Ten Year-Old? presenter, Damian Williams, as Maplins Camp Host Ted Bovis; and Abigail Finley - from BBC’s How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? - in the role of the over-excitable Chalet maid and Yellow-coat wannabe, Peggy Ollerenshaw.
