Keith Chegwin to star in Cinderella

Posted on

We are delighted to announce that Keith Chegwin is to play Buttons in our pantomime Cinderella at The Anvil from Thursday 11 December to Sunday 4 January.

Keith, who became a household name in the 1970s presenting the television shows Cheggers Plays Pop and Multi-Coloured Swap Shop, and has rarely been off our screens since, was last at The Anvil in 2001 when he appeared in Mother Goose. Most recently, Keith was part of ITV1’s Dancing on Ice (Series 8) when he reached 5th place, and starred in The Nutcracker on Ice at the London Palladium.

Keith Chegwin said “I am so glad to be back at The Anvil.  I love appearing in panto and have great memories of performing here in Basingstoke.  I know it’s only March – but I can’t wait!”

Once again, The Anvil teams up with UK Productions for a magical, traditional pantomime for the whole family to enjoy. Producer Martin Dodd, from UK Productions, added “Cinderella is one of the most popular pantos, and Keith, with all his years of experience, is the perfect Buttons”.
