Gandhi Comes to Mind

Back for the third time in as many years, Rebekah Bernstein and Howard Moody delivered workshops in schools across Basingstoke with a focus on the life and achievements of Mahatma Gandhi. Building on the roaring successes of Mandela in Mind and last year’s 100 Years On, this year’s project aimed even higher as young people from Dove House, Cliddesden, Preston Candover and Saxon Wood schools embarked on a journey of creativity, using movement, music and song to tell the story of one of the greatest humanitarians of our time.

This project provided a unique artistic experience, allowing participants to working alongside a professional creative team, where they will forge new relationships, build confidence and self-esteem whilst learning a range of creative skills.

After a series of workshops and rehearsals in schools, everyone came together at The Anvil for two days, culminating with an evening performance on day two.
