Anvil Arts wins huge satisfaction rating from residents
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council carried out a survey of local residents earlier this year - and Anvil Arts came out with great ratings.
96% of those who use The Anvil said they were 'very' or 'fairly' satisfied, and 85% of residents regard The Anvil as a benefit to the community, whether they use it or not. 90% of those who use The Haymarket, now under the management of Anvil Arts, were 'very' or 'fairly' satisfied, and 80% regard it as a benefit.
The national average satisfaction rating for theatres and concert halls is 68%.
Cllr Keith Chapman, Cabinet Member for Sport and Leisure, says: "These figures show that the Council's investment in Anvil Arts is money well spent and provides a huge benefit to the whole community."
Christine Bradwell, Chief Executive of Anvil Arts, says: "We are delighted to be so far above the national average and will continue to do our best for our audiences and Basingstoke and Deane as a whole."
