Mr Darcy Loses the Plot

Mr Darcy visits Jane Austen at home

Posted on

The dashing Mr Darcy visited Jane Austen’s house in Alton yesterday and happened to bump into his creator herself writing away in the dining room.

Mr Darcy and Jane were actually LipService Theatre, visiting Jane Austen’s House Museum in preparation for their forthcoming parody Mr Darcy Loses the Plot (3 Nov).

The comedy duo were “absolutely thrilled to be able to sit at the actual table where Jane wrote so many of her wonderful stories.”

Exploring the world of women writers, scribbling in secret amongst the hustle and bustle of taking tea, choosing chintz and the odd attack of the vapours, this hilarious show is a must see for all Austenites.

Don’t miss Mr Darcy Loses the Plot, which plays at The Haymarket on Thu 3 Nov.
