If you're a fan of folk, Americana, roots and blues you'll definitely want to check out today's new events, as a whole raft of Forge acts go on sale.

First up we've fantastic folk harmonies from The Good Lovelies (5 Oct), a distinctive New Orleans duo Tipitina (14 Oct), and a lively Dublin four-piece Lankum (formerly Lynched, 15 Oct). Devon-based one-man folk powerhouse Jim Causley (25 Oct) shares his West Country-inspired melodies, while the Deep South's rhythm and blues master Eugene Hideaway Bridges (28 Oct) rounds up the month in style.

November brings three monstrously good musical brothers Trio Dhoore (1 Nov), two-time winners of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for Best Duo Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman (11 Nov), and a blues ambassador and harmonica ace respectively, Guy Davis and Fabrizio Poggi (25 Nov). We also have fresh roots music from Chicago with The Way Down Wanderers (28 Nov) and an epic 'folk opera' imbued with the ambience of the Old West from Tom Russell (30 Nov).
